Cheerful Get Well
This card was inspired by the Lawnfawnatics Challenge #6 which is creating a Cheerful Get Well card. http://www.lawnfawnatics.com/challenges/lawn-fawnatics-challenge-6-cheerful-get-well
I really enjoyed making this one! I just love Lawn Fawn stamps and this rainbow was so fun to work with. Since I cut a rainbow out using each of the 7 papers, I put the extras together and now have some fun rainbows that I can use for future cards! I think I am going to make a few more cheerful get well cards. I don’t have any on hand and those are nice to have a stash of so that you can be ready at any time to brighten someone’s day.
For this card, I used:
Lawn Fawn stamp set – Get Well Soon and Quinn’s Capital ABC’s
Lawn Fawn die – Rainbow
Lawn Fawn 6×6 Perfectly Plaid paper pad
Cuttlebug – Polka Dots embossing folder
Cricut Explore Air 2 for tag die cut
Neenah white 80# chardstock and cardstock in red, pink, orange, yellow, green, blue and purple colors
I decided to make a 5×5 inch card by cutting a piece of Neenah white cardstock to 5×10 and then folding it in half. I cut a piece of plaid paper to match my rainbows that was slightly smaller than the card and attached it. I embossed a piece of white cardstock with the polka dots, cut it down to 4×4 and attached it to the card with some strong adhesive. I cut the tag using my Cricut and covered the edges with mermaid lagoon distress ink using a my mini blending tool. I attached one of the rainbows that I created to the tag. I stamped the bandage and the cute little bird nurse with MFT black ink on white cardstock and an H from Quinn’s Capital ABC’s also in black ink on white cardstock. I decided to color the images using my Copic markers. I didn’t put a whole lot of effort into blending but I really like how the nurses hat turned out :). I used the bandage as the ‘I’ in my Hi and attached it to the center of the rainbow with pop dots. I also used pop dots to attach the little bird to the top of the rainbow. I cut two pieces of glittery twine and attached it to the card. I then adhered the tag to the card with some more pop dots. I stamped ‘get well soon’ under the tag using black ink. I kinda had to fill in some of the spots with my fine tip black Sharpie because it didn’t quite cover due to the embossing.
I am really excited about how this card turned out! I think the only think I would change would not be to angle the tag so dramatically.
Hope you enjoyed this card and thanks for stopping by!
