Dimensional Pop-Up Card – SSS Wednesday challenge featuring Lawn Fawn
I had so much fun making this Halloween Card! I think Halloween is my second favorite holiday (after Christmas of course!).
This card was inspired by the SSS Wednesday Challenge
The Lawn Fawn products that I used are:
- Wonderful Window die set
- Cute Cobweb die set
- Grassy Border die
- Costume Party stamp and die set (cute little witch and pumpkin tote, and the Happy Halloween sentiment)
After putting my window together, I adhered it to a piece of white cardstock that I drew lines on every 1/2″ to represent the siding of a house. After stamping the sentiment on white cardstock, I cut the image out and then ‘popped’ it up in the window with a hand made accordion folded piece of paper. I took a piece of white cardstock and accordion folded it four times so that it wouldn’t add to much bulk and adhered it to the back of the sentiment with some strong adhesive. I didn’t want to much bulk because the window wouldn’t be able to close. In fact, I had even more folds but it was too much bulk!
I glued on my little cobweb, spider and first layer of grass. I then used some foam pop dots to attach the little witch and the second layer of grass for added dimension.
I wanted some added sparkle, so I used my Wink of Stella on the web and little spider. I decided to use it on the piece of black cardstock that serves at the mat for my card. Because it was a new pen, there is A LOT of sparkle! Finally, I attached everything to a top folding 4.25 x 5.5 inch white card.
Thanks for stopping by!
